1. Paraplanner

Job Type: Full Time / Part Time Permanent

Location: Birmingham B3

Salary: £28,000+

The Role:

We are looking for a hardworking, self-motivated individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will be Level 4 Diploma Qualified with experience in Financial Services, although, if you’ve just made a start on the Diploma exams, we’d still be pleased to hear from you. We are looking for a kind and caring individual as we put the client at the heart of everything we do; we want staff who care about our clients but it’s also good if you excel at your job as well.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with Advisers to provide ongoing support
  • Manage your own client list and execute all paraplanning aspects for your case list
  • To be the main point of contact for clients who contact the office with queries
  • Build meaningful relationships with clients, attend and document client meetings
  • Maintain administration systems and ensure client data is accurate and up to date
  • Prepare and format Suitability Reports for clients
  • Create and refine cashflow/financial models and suggest planning strategies

2. Investment Analyst

Job Type: Part Time / Flexible / 1 Day Per Week

Location: Birmingham B3

Salary: Negotiable

The Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join an established life planning firm who is either approaching retirement or looking to reduce their hours. Working closely with our Investment Committee, you will play a key supporting role in helping assess individual fund and portfolio performance, monitor fund selections, and contribute to the preparation of investment reports and research

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in investments, with experience supporting or working alongside investment or research committees. They will demonstrate strong IT and PC proficiency, particularly in Excel, performance platforms, and reporting tools. With a methodical and analytical mindset, they will show excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in their work. This role would suit someone who is semi-retired or seeking a flexible, part-time opportunity. The successful candidate will be highly organised, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in reviewing and monitoring investment performance for our portfolios.
  • Support the team with research, analysis and reporting for Investment Committee meetings.
  • Maintain and update investment documentation and internal data records.
  • Provide insights and commentary where relevant on markets, funds, or performance trends.
  • Complete research and assist in the amending of portfolios following the decision to make strategic switches.
  • Liaise with investment houses, research providers and fund managers.
  • Making the committee aware of any regulatory changes and how to implement them.
